“Beatrice Azumah Foundation Inspires BECE Students With Donations And Motivations”

The Beatrice Azumah Foundation recently made a significant impact on the lives of over 600 BECE students across three schools in the Ashanti Region. The foundation donated essential educational materials, including mathematical sets, pencils, and pens, to Bomso M.A Basic School, Ayeduase M.A Basic School, and Kotei M.A Basic School. The donation ceremony, held at the PIWC church in Kotei, featured inspiring speeches from esteemed guests. Beatrice Azumah's mother Martha Azumah, who was instrumental in establishing the foundation, encouraged the students to work hard and pursue their dreams. Serwaa Akoto Ampofo, a former SRC General Secretary at KNUST, also delivered a motivational speech, sharing his personal experiences and emphasizing the importance of education. Doctor Bright Ampofo emphasized the importance of personal hygiene and shared valuable life skills with the students. Lawyer Mounique also delivered a motivational speech, encouraging the students to strive for excellence

BeyondHerDegree Summit: Empowering Women for a sustainable future

In a resounding celebration of international women’s Day, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) SRC Women’s Commissioner orchestrated a transformative summit aptly named BeyondHerDegree. With a mission to equip women with the tools and mindset to thrive independently, the event proved to be a beacon of inspiration and empowerment.


Under the banner of BeyondHerDegree, a diverse lineup of speakers illuminated the path to success for attendees. Notable personalities such as TV personality Shirley Emma Tibilla, affectionately known as Cookie Tee, shared personal anecdotes and professional insights, inspiring women to break barriers and pursue their dreams relentlessly.

Adding a touch of entrepreneurial spirit, Ms. Rebecca Osam, CEO of REFLEO sanitary pads, imparted invaluable wisdom on business leadership and social impact. Her presence underscored the importance of leveraging business acumen to address societal challenges, particularly in promoting menstrual hygiene among women. 


Moreover, Adu Sarfowaa of Speecha-thon captivated the audience with her expertise in public speaking and communication. Through interactive sessions, attendees honed their skills, empowering them to articulate their ideas with confidence and authority.

Ms. Abena Brigidi, renowned as the investment queen, shared her insights on financial literacy and investment strategies tailored to women. Her guidance aimed to equip women with the knowledge and resources to secure their financial futures and break down barriers in traditionally male-dominated industries.


The summit also welcomed Aduanige, 4th Runner Up for Ghana Most Beautiful 2023, whose presence exemplified beauty with a purpose. Her journey served as a testament to the importance of embracing one's identity and using it as a platform for positive change.


In a remarkable display of compassion and solidarity, the SRC Women’s Commissioner, alongside the CEO of REFLEO, distributed sanitary pads to attendees, promoting good menstrual hygiene practices and ensuring that no woman is left behind in the pursuit of success.
